MUM’S THE WORD AS SUSSEX BUSINESSWOMAN MAKES UK TOP 100
Ardingly entrepreneur and owner of Harmony at Home, Frankie Gray, has made it into the UK’s Top 100 Business Mums of 2012 as Sussex is voted the fifth best location in the UK for mums to do business.
Frankie made it in to the nation’s top league of business mums after becoming a finalist for this year’s MumsClub Business Mum Awards 2012.
The mum of two, who is about to give birth to her third child, is in the running to win The Mumpreneur’s Champion Award 2012, which will be announced in December. She will now go head-to-head with some of the UK’s most successful and innovative female entrepreneurs throughout the UK.
On her entry into the nation’s Top 100 Frankie says: “There is a real sense of energy in Sussex at the moment and a growing number of women who are not only managing to balance motherhood and business, but excel at it. It’s no longer about mums who do lunch but mums who do business and that’s great for women and great for Sussex. Women no longer need to choose between motherhood and their career and I hope my entry into the UK’s Top 100 encourages more mums throughout the county to aim to succeed at both.”
Launched in 2004, Harmony at Home has grown into one of the UK’s most exclusive nanny consultancies with 12 agencies nationwide.
The childcare entrepreneur is currently busy rolling out a chain of children’s eco-boutiques throughout the UK, the second of which was launched by Councillor John de Mierre, Mid-Sussex District Council Cabinet Member for Economic Development, earlier this year.
Mrs Liz Hunt, Principal at Norland College, now in Bath, where Frankie gained her qualifications before launching her businesses, adds: “From launching her successful nanny consultancies through to the latest eco-boutique business venture, Frankie has consistently shown that she has a good head for business. Her entry into the UK’s Top 100 Business mums of 2012 comes as no surprise and she continues to be an inspiration for all of our budding Norland Nannies.”
The Top 100 league also includes trailblazing Sussex business mums from Bexhill, Brighton and Hove.
