A temporary, live in, Nanny is needed for this fabulous family, near Glastonbury. It could lead to a permanent role for the right person. They are looking for someone who has baby and toddler experience. The role is sole charge and some shared care of three boys, one 3 year old and 8 month old twins. Mum works 2 days a week so these 2 days would be sole charge of the twins. The older child will be at nursery on these 2 days. The family are looking for someone to work Monday and Tuesdays 7.30am-7.30pm. If you can help on other days from 3/4pm – 7.30pm that would be a benefit.
This position is ideally suited to someone who wants to be part of the family and a Nanny who uses their initiative and enjoys being active, outside with the children. The family live in a small village, in a lovely house, with a big garden and own swimming pool. You will have a self contained, newly refurbished flat above the garage and use of a car on and off duty.
If you have experience of working with twins this would be an asset but it is not essential.

This happy and friendly family are looking for a Nanny/Housekeeper for their three girls. Twins aged 9 years and a girl of 7 years. The children spilt their time between both parents’ houses, usually one week at each property. Both houses are close to each other. This is a Live in role, the nanny will live at the mother’s property. The nanny is needed Monday to Friday. Usually between the hours of 6.30am and 7pm. However, during the term time this will be a spilt shift. There may be the very occasional weekend cover, although this would be agreed in advance and time off in lieu given. Both parents get on very well and the children are at the heart of everything we do.
There is 5/6 hours housekeeping needed each week, this will be at the mum’s house only. The family dog will need to be walked for at least an hour a day. This can be done with the girls. The role will include approx. 3 babysitting evenings a month.
Nanny Duties will include: getting the children ready in the morning, school drop offs/picks ups, help with homework, liaising information with both parents and taking to local clubs. Although both parents can assist with club pick ups. As well as entertaining the children with age appropriate games, helping with bed and bath routine and ensuring everything is ready for the next day.
The nanny will need to be able to meal plan and be confident in preparing and cooking healthy meals.
The youngest child has Downs Syndrome so ideally the Nanny will have experience with Makaton and BSL although, the family can provide training for this.
Housekeeping duties to include: cleaning and tidying kitchen, lounge, garden room, shared living room and shared bathroom. Also, children’s laundry and keeping the children’s areas tidy. The housekeeping duties will only be at the mother’s property.
The family will provide an automatic car for the nanny to use both whilst on and off duty. As well as a work mobile.
The girls enjoy swimming, gymnastics, reading and baking. As well as camping and outdoor activities. An active, outgoing and flexible nanny would be an excellent match. Someone who likes Disney songs singing and dance would fit in really well. The family are keen to find a long term nanny, finding the right person is the most important thing. They are willing to help and support the nanny through any additional training and education that will benefit the role.
Minimum Experience Level for this job: Minimum of two years childcare experience
Training and Qualifications needed for this job: Up to date DBS and Paediatric First Aid Certificate or be willing to obtain
Hours: Monday to Friday – Usually in between the hours of 6.30am and 7pm
Pets: 1 dog
Driving: Driver essential. Automatic nanny car can be provided to use whilst on and off duty
Job Start Date: ASAP
Pay: £400 gross per week/£20,800 gross per annum
